REBECCA MILLING

I am a film editor with an arts background bringing a strong creative approach to editing combined with a sympathetic and organised method of working. I am always ready to listen to new ideas, absorb and discover what your project entails to make outstanding films within budget.

Please take a look at the projects on this website to see examples of the breadth of work which I love to take on, gallery installations, musical collaborations, artist’s films and documentary.

I use Adobe Premiere in my studio at Summerhall Arts Centre, Edinburgh

Recent work includes:
WORKERS UNION

A multi-screen film installation made to accompany Louis Andriessen’s famous composition. The film premiered with a full orchestra onsite underneath the belly of the aeroplane, Concorde. Commissioned by Red Note Ensemble for Lammermuir Festival in the National Museum of Flight

RON AND LINDA

A documentary which tells the story of Ron, an 80yr old sufferer of hoarding disorder through his conversations with Linda, Scotland’s only qualified specialist in this newly recognised condition. Commissioned by the SeeMe Charity for Mental Health and screened at Glasgow Film Theatre

Sound:

I often work with talented Sound Designer, Zoë Irvine, so that sound can be a crucial part of your film from the beginning

When I’m not Editing

I have my own art practice www.rebeccamilling.com
